So I tried out the Sims Social on facebook, and quit playing it after a couple of weeks because you either need to have a million friends to help you get things done, or you need to spend IRL (In Real Life) money. Now, I will pay for a game, but I will not pay to progress in a game, and that's what all facebook games are all about - you spending money because you want to move ahead.
Today, I received this e-mail. The subject line read, "I Can't Believe You Have Let Me Down."
Wait. This is supposed to be an e-mail from my Sim? An attempt at emotional manipulation on behalf of a virtual person? LOL! I don't even respond to emotional manipulation on the part of real people!
I know it's supposed to be funny...but it's not.
If I wasn't sure before, I'm sure now. I'm definitely not ever playing that game again. Sims Social can keep its 2000 simoleons, and it would be nice if they quit being so creepy.
